2025 in Movies: Revisited

Change didn't exactly sweep through my 2025 movie rankings in the past 7 and a half months. Perhaps things would've looked a little bit different if I had followed through on my intention to rewatch several titles that I wanted to clarify my opinion on including Eddington, One Battle After Another and Twinless before dropping this piece, but alas, my attention shifted elsewhere and that potential for huge shakeups wasn't realized.

Of the 17 titles I've watched since the publication of my initial year-end list in early January, only two received grades of B+ or higher and entered the top portion of the list. Beyond that, a couple of titles managed to secure a place in or around the top 50 and the average-to-below-average section near the bottom got padded out a bit. There are still approximately 25-35 movies released in 2025 that I'm eager to check out that I still haven't gotten to and I hope to watch at least a few of them before the end of the year, so it's very possible that this list undergoes some more meaningful changes by the time 2027 rolls around.
