Pixar is not invincible.
Cars 2 ends a long run of brilliant Pixar films.
Cars 2 doesn't even seem like a film that was made by Pixar. It lacks all the charm and laughs that most Pixar films have. Replacing the charm and laughs is a dumb plotline and unfunny jokes. The storyline tries way too hard to be a spy film and it's not even good at that. It's a half-baked, ridiculous concept that feels completely forced (which is evident by the poor execution).
Cars 2 is plain and simple the worst film in Pixar's arsenal. It's not funny, clever, or charming. It's just a stupid spy film that just does not work. This is far from the demise of Pixar, but it's uncharacteristically weak and unfunny.
