Top 25 Hip-Hop Beats of 2016

While it wasn't a particularly noteworthy year for hip-hop on the whole, 2016 was a banner year for production. Combing through the nearly 50 hip-hop releases I heard from this past year to find the finest achievements in beatmaking was a brutal task and I can honestly say that there was about 60 beats that were worthy of making this list. After weeks of re-listening to tracks and tinkering with this list, here are my picks for the 25 best hip-hop beats of 2016.
