2020 in Film: Revisited

All of the deeply impactful things that happened in the real world combined with the wide variety of release strategies that were deployed from March through December made it difficult to get a full handle on the cinematic landscape of 2020 at year's end. So what revelations about 2020's movies have come to light now that I've had the benefit of having a whole 8 months to reflect and catch up on titles that weren't widely released until 2021 or just simply slipped through the cracks due to the particularly dire state of affairs in the world? There were some really great hidden indie gems that were released during the initial couple months of theaters reopening last fall, the late Oscar contenders ended up being quite good for the most part and really only 1 title as of today has significantly benefited from a rewatch.
