Best Albums Of The Decade(2000-2009): #90-89

90.Darkest Hour-Deliver Us(2007)

Washington D.C metal act Darkest Hour was pretty deep into their career when they released Deliver Us. They had been around for about 12 years and had already released 4 studio albums. Deliver Us was special for Darkest Hour though, it redefined their sound and finally brought out the elite level of music that Darkest Hour was capable of making. From Deliver Us's opening track "Doomsayer(The Beginning Of The End)" with its acoustic intro and melodic yet heavy guitarwork, you know your in for a hell of an album. The whole album is a near perfect blend of thrash, melodic death metal and metalcore.Darkest Hour hit a home run with Deliver Us and it is without a doubt the strongest material they have ever made.

Standout Tracks 1.Doomsayer(The Beginning Of The End) 2.A Pardox To The Flies 3.Demon(s)

89.Amon Amarth-With Oden On Our Side(2006)

If there is one thing Amon Amarth has in common with the book/film series Lord Of The Rings which they are named after, it would be the fact that they are epic as hell. With Oden On Our Side is some of the best melodic death metal you will ever hear. Amon Amarth blends its signature guttral-vocal style with some amazing melodic riffing. "Under The Northern Star" and "Cry Of The Black Birds" are personally my two favorite Amon Amarth tracks of all time, these tracks are absoultely epic melodic death metal that makes you feel like you are in the middle of some kind of Viking battle. Plain and simple With Oden Our Side, kicks a whole lot of ass.

Standout Tracks 1.Under The Northen Star 2.Cry Of The Black Birds 3.Gods Of War Arise
