Best Albums Of The Decade(2000-2009): #94-93

94.Pantera-Reinventing The Steel(2000)

(Edit:I confused the year in which The Great Southern Trendkill came out with Reinventing The Steel. I am aware the image is wrong as well, I apolgize for the mistake).

With Reinventing The Steel, Pantera came to the end of an era. Though it was no Vulgar Display Of Power or Far Beyond Driven,Reinventing The Steel is a great record to close the legacy of Pantera on. "Goddamn Electric" is among one of the strongest Pantera tracks ever made and Phil Anselmo sounds extremely good on this record. Reinventing The Steel is a memorable, groovy vintage Pantera record and a fitting swan song for one of the most iconic American metal bands of all time.

Standout Tracks 1.Goddamn Electric 2.Revolution's My Name 3.Death Rattle

93.Machine Head-The Blackening(2007)

Machine Head had been on a severe slump untill The Blackening. They had a terrible nu-metal run and where trying to prove their harshest critics wrong. The Blackening went beyond silencing their critics, it blew them away. The Blackening is the best Machine Head record to date. The songs are long but they are epic and intresting. "Clenching The Fists Of Dissent" and "Halo" are two of the most ambitious Machine Head tracks ever recorded and they are absoultely killer tracks. The guitarwork from Phill Demmel is the real standout on this record. He runs through a wide array of guitar solos that are sure to make your jaw drop. The Blackening is a fantastic and very memorable record and a career-defining record for Machine Head.

Standout Tracks 1.Halo 2.Clenching The Fists Of Dissent 3.Beautiful Mourning
